“The Food Court” should really be “The Food And Drink Court.” It is a website and blog dedicated to food, drink, and (believe it or not) the law. It also features gluten-free recipes for the gluten intolerant among us.
The site began with Matt and Nicole in 2007. Matt has an inherent love of cooking, and Nicole began brewing up some incredible masterpieces around that time. They celebrated their marriage in May of that year, and the unique beer and food innovations began flowing like water. What better way to share their trials and trepidation than on a blog?! And because Matt had just graduated from law school, what could be more appropriate than a “law-themed food blog.” Thus, the name... The Food Court.
Soon after, one of Matt’s good friends and fellow lawyer, Justie, began dating Zach. Good times and good beer ensued, and brewery tours and strong ale fests were commonplace for the foursome. But not much later, Zach began noticing Justie’s intolerance to certain foods. Eventually, Justie was diagnosed with a gluten (wheat, rye, barley) intolerance and had to say goodbye to beer and regular food forever. Matt and Nicole promptly offered their support and started brewing and cooking up some gluten-free options. Justie and Zach began experimenting with simplistic gluten free recipes that even Zach could make.
